COLON CLEANSINGSHANK PRAKSHALANA

Get a Flatter Tummy!   And a Cleaner, Healthier, Body!

"Colon cancer is currently the second leading cancer killer in the United States, with 60,000 Americans expected to die from the disease this year."

"An estimated 150,000 people in America will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year, and while progress is being made to prevent and treat the disease, tragically more than 57,000 will die from it."

"Colon cancer is one of the deadliest diseases to affect Americans... The Early Show medical correspondent Dr. Emily Senay reports that an average of 57,000 Americans die each year from colon cancer... when colon cancer is caught late, it is survivable only 8 percent of the time."

If you have problems like:

  • Bloating
  • Fatigue
  • Feeling Constipated
  • Low energy levels
  • Excess Weight that doesn't seem to go away

Intestinal & Colon Cleansing can help, Shak PrakShala is the best answer!
If this is the first time you've been exposed to this life-changing information, you've probably never considered this simple question: Are you clean inside? Of course you take care of the outside: You shower, brush your teeth and wash your hair on a regular basis, but do you clean yourself inside? In this modern, toxic world it's becoming a simple fact of life that our colon (the 'sewer system' of the body) also requires regular cleaning. Just like a car requires an oil change periodically.

Lets face it: Irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and gas are simply not things we like to discuss. And yet, as the old expression goes, death begins, in the colon. Don't believe it? Ask any coroner. Autopsies often reveal colons that are plugged up to 80 percent with waste material.

The colon is susceptible to a continual buildup of toxic material found in the foods that we eat. Viscous and slimy mucus form as a layer or layers covering epithelium cells in various hollow organs, especially all the organs of the alimentary canal, acting as a health threat by reducing the absorption of nutrients and impairing digestion.

Many processed foods, such as pasteurized milk, processed flour and sugar, as well as foods packed with preservatives contain toxic elements that slowly buildup in the intestine. This slow build up of toxins causes a hard impacted film to form within the intestines decreasing the body's ability to absorb nutrients, thus lowering metabolism rates and possibly causing unhealthy weight gain.

According to the Journal of Parasitology(1)
It is estimated that Pinworms infect more than 400,000,000 people throughout the world (10% of humans), and in many areas of the world (e.g., North America and Europe) it is the most common nematode parasite of humans. On a worldwide basis, however, Ascaris Lumbricoides ranks #1 infecting more than 1,000,000,000 people (25% of humans).

Ascaris Lumbricoides has a world-wide distribution and is most prevalent in tropical areas. 25% of the world population harbors the parasite.

Ascaris Lumbricoides is one of the largest and most common parasites found in humans. The adult females of this species can measure up to 18 inches long (males are generally shorter), and it is estimated that 25% of the world's population is infected with this nematode. The adult worms live in the small intestine and eggs are passed in the feces. A single female can produce up to 200,000 eggs each day! About two weeks after passage in the feces the eggs contain an infective larval or juvenile stage, and humans are infected when they ingest such infective eggs."

Fasciola hepatica is found in parts of the United States (view distribution), as well as in Great Britain, Ireland, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, and Australia.

Shank PrakShalana or Shank Prakshalana
In Sanskrit, the approximately twenty eight (28) feet long folded intestine is called Shankha—conch shell. "Prakshalana" means to wash thoroughly.

One of the keys to regaining good health is found in the intestinal system. In the intestines residue accumulates. Waste products remain sitting in the small folds of the intestines, around which tensions arise, binding energy and affecting ones well-being. When the intestines are rinsed, the residue and tensions are removed, as well as any Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).

Systematically, our body accumulates toxins without interruption during the length of our life. They come from the external world which contains contaminants from low quality food and air, or by fermentation of food residue in the intestines, and/or chronic indigestion.

One of the main causes of premature aging, or early senility, is due to accumulation of toxins in the intestines. Every cell produces toxins for which nature has provided elimination channels—the skin, the kidneys, and the lungs. It is essential to keep the integrity of these organs because if they do not complete their natural functions impeccably our body becomes poisoned, slowly but surely.

There is a source of auto-intoxication even more harmful. This is caused by the poisonous elements that filtrate through the walls of the intestines. This creates the need for an intelligent diet, but more so, the importance of having a clean intestinal system. Constipation is the origin for multiple diseases, and may be indirectly, the reason for all our health problems. But what happens is that even people who are not constipated, or believe they are not constipated, have a constant source of toxins in the large intestine.

In his book "La mort vient de l'intestin" (Death comes from the intestine), Dr. A. Keller talks about some of the following consequences of constipation:

  • Stomach: Loss of tone, prolapsed, ulcers, cancer, and some cases of bad breath.
  • Kidneys: Stones, nephrotic colic
  • Nervous System: Insomnia, depression, irritability, hysteria
  • Legs: Sciatica, varicose veins
  • Colon: Hemorrhoids, cancer
  • Liver: Hepatic congestion, gallbladder stones, hepatic toxicity
  • Appendix: Chronic appendix inflammation
  • Blood: Anemia, blood composition affecting all organs
  • Lower Abdomen: Infections, stagnated circulatory state, sex organ infections
  • Skin: Eruptions of all kinds

Some lifestyle factors that slow down bowel transit time and increase waste buildup in the colon are:

  • Maintaining a diet which acidifies the tissues of the body.
  • Eating high-carbohydrate that are over-processed, over cooked and devitalized. The main dietary offenders are carbohydrate products, sugar, gluten, flour, wheat and related grains (including barley and rye), chemicals and drugs.
  • Consuming caffeine in coffee, tea, chocolate, and colas, which dehydrate the bowel and interfere with proper digestion.
  • Not drinking enough good, clean water.
  • Mental and emotional stress, which inhibit proper digestion, assimilation, and elimination.

Daily bowel movement does not guarantee that the intestinal system is freed from sediments which slowly have become encrusted and are never expelled. This may create putrid fermentation whose toxins spread gradually 24 hours a day throughout the body. These sediments may also evolve into hard stony masses of feces, which can obstruct the appendix, leading to appendicitis. Consider that the constant irritation of the intestinal could be the cause of numerous cases of cancer, or at least, an irritating thorn in its origin.

Laxatives act as irritants to stimulate the muscular walls of the colon, abnormally contracting to expel the irritant. Laxatives also create dehydration in the body, so layers of old, dried feces remain in the colon, and only the more recent feces are pushed through the center and evacuated. This leads to degeneration in the tissues, muscles, and nerves of the colon.

Chronic malabsorption can lead to a variety of illnesses. Think about it—if your body doesn't have the basic nutritional building blocks it needs, your health and ability to recover from illness will be compromised.

Besides breaking down food, enzymes (particularly the proteases) can help with gut healing, controlling pathogens, and immune support. Your immune system begins in your gut—and if you have enzyme and digestive issues, chances are your immune system isn't functioning as well as it should be.

Complicating matters, your capacity for enzyme production also declines with age.
Shank PrakShalana is not like the regular Colon Irrigation or Colon Hydrotherapy. Colon irrigation only flushes the length of the large intestine with an enema like-machine that plugs to your rectum. The fluid is pumped periodically, and the process will be repeated multiple times during the course of a treatment. The rinsing water stops at the ileocecal valve, which separates the large intestine from the small. If during the Colon irrigation procedure the ileocecal valve opens, llowing in material from the Large Intestine, the potential for contamination presents a serious health risk.

Shank PrakShalana is a non-invasive saline natural colon cleansing program that purifies the digestive system and draws impurities out of the organs without a machine. This comprehensive hydrotherapy program cleanses the system, without the need for colon cleansing products or colon cleansing equipment, starting from the mouth and ending at the rectum/anus using a natural flow. The process opens both the pylorus and ileocecal valves allowing the saline water to flow in the same natural direction as the digestive systems intended, without compromising your health.
The benefits of colon cleansing with Shank PrakShalana is to hydrate the system, remove waste, stimulate peristalsis, rehabilitate the nerves, muscles, glands, circulatory and immune systems that form the components of the digestive system. Reposition the intestines in the most natural way available, without the intervention of machines. Reestablish a healthy environment for enzyme proliferation. Did you know that 90% of your digestion and absorbtion takes place in your Small Intestine?

This method takes into account the need of the human body to maintain the proper Sodium/Potassium ratio and how the Sodium/Potassium Pump (see below) functions maintaining a slight negative ion condition.

The main advantages of negative ions for human body include cleansing of the blood, enhancement of the immune system, activation of cells, improves permeability of the cells, and adjustment of the autonomous nervous system.

Shank PrakShalana assists in the elimination of gastrointestinal parasites. Intestinal parasites cause significant morbidity and mortality. Diseases caused by Enterobius vermicularis, Giardia lamblia, Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus, and Entamoeba histolytica occur in the United States. E. vermicularis, or pinworm, causes irritation and sleep disturbances.

Intestine Cross-section

Intestinal Villi

It has been reported that also helps to lose weight, decrease body fat % and decrees the metabolic age.

Another mayor positive effect is that it loosens old stagnation and toxins buildup through the years accumulated in the folds of the lumenal surface and it's smaller villi of the intestines. Toxins such as heavy metals, inorganic minerals, insipid pus—such as gallstones and harden mucus in the sinus passageway—as well as tar, waxes, and resins in places like the liver, and laminations of fecal debris along the length of the intestine, all have much greater longevity than the actual body.

It takes 7 years to form a gallstone. In a 40-year old, most of the gallstones in the deepest part of the gallbladder are 20-30 years old. This material was formed long ago when the person had much younger ideas about life. It loosens and purges years-old debris, allowing to be flushed out and away along with all the old emotions.

No abdominal tightness, cramping or pain is experienced. The outflow of water removes excess gas, mucus, feces, and toxic material directly to the sewer line, helping to balance the intestinal flora and enzyme production. In addition, bacterial/fungal sources of nerve damage are reduced.

The skin becomes soft and various kinds of skin allergies and eczema are relieved, and can even disappear completely. Pallid skin becomes purer and clearer. The effects, however, are not only physical. There can be improvement in taste and sight. The senses are sharpened to such a degree that they feel as though they were "muffled" and have now been unwrapped.

When the coarse tensions are removed from the stomach and abdomen, you gain tremendous energy and the body becomes light and healthy. It becomes easier to calm down, something that facilitates the ability to concentrate. The body becomes radiant.
It is recommended that an experienced health-care provider guide you through this therapy the first few times. Once you learn and master it , you will be able to do it on your own for the rest of your life without any additional cost. Your only commitment is to practice Shank PrakShalana 7 times before you guide any one else. Your responsible dedication will give you the experience to master the technique, therefore, helping yourself and others.

Shank PrakShalana enables the body to recover from imbalances and promotes return to natural bowel movements which prevents premature aging and assists in the maintenance of health. It is the only way in any Detox process to cleanse the complete digestive system allowing all your organs to release in a complete way.

Research Shows Bacteria Plays Role in Colon Cancer and Parkinson's

Researchers have even begun to look at the influence of gut bacteria in the formation of certain kinds of cancer, as well as neurological diseases such as Parkinson's. One such study found that 89% of cancerous tumors removed from the right side of the colon were covered in biofilm—a thick layer of densely packed colonies of bacteria. Interestingly, only 12% of tumors removed from the left side of the colon had biofilms on them.

"The presence of these biofilms may represent an increased likelihood of colon cancer and could offer a new way to predict a person's risk for the disease,' WebMD notes, adding: 'Like tooth plaque and slime on pond stones, these biofilms may coat the mucus layer of cells lining the colon, according to background information from the study.'
'There, the biofilms may cause inflammation and some noncancerous bowel diseases,' said Dr. Cynthia Sears, professor of medicine and oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health... The reasons for the difference between the right and left side of the colon are unknown... The risk of developing colon cancer may be five times higher in people with biofilms on the right side of the colon, compared to those with no biofilms..."

Other recent research sheds light on the connection between carb-rich diets and colon cancer. As it turns out, certain bacteria that thrive on sugar produce a chemical that activates the growth of tumor cells. There's a gene mutation that has been linked to one out of five cases on non-inherited colon cancer. This mutation prevents cells from repairing errors that arise during DNA replication.

This is known as "the mismatch DNA repair system," and it causes accelerated cell division. This research shows that carbohydrates and the bacteria that feed on them can speed up this dysfunctional process. Basically, carb-loving bacteria release a chemical that pushes colon cells that lack the ability to repair DNA errors to multiply in an uncontrollable manner, thereby producing tumors. As reported by Science News.

"In country after country where people have switched to Western-style diets heavy in refined sugars such as high fructose corn syrup, the incidence of colorectal cancer has increased, says geneticist Scott Bultman of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, who was not involved in the study. Until now, the underlying connection between food and colon cancer has been cloudy.

'This study gives a good mechanism for how diet is tied to colon cancer," Bultman says... If the mouse experiments mimic human cancers, then shunning high-carbohydrate, Western diets could allay or prevent the disease for many people,' says Bultman. Following a well-balanced diet, with fewer refined sugars and more fiber, is good for the microbiome and likely has an effect on cancer predisposition."

Moving on to research looking at the influence of bacteria in Parkinson's disease, here, those with Parkinson's disease have far less bacteria from the Prevotellaceae family than those who do not have the disease. What these bacteria actually do, and how they influence Parkinson's is still unknown however. Yet another family of bacteria called Enterobacteriaceae was linked to the severity of Parkinson's symptoms. Parkinson's patients with more severe balance issues and difficulty walking were found to have higher levels of these bacteria.

Mechanism of the Sodium(Na)+ / Potassium(K)+ Pump
Note that initially Na+ ions (orange) are inside the cell and K+ ions (blue) are outside the cell. The cell's plasma membrane is indicated as black. The transmembrane transport protein (yellow) is open to the inside. Once three Na+ ions enter the transport protein and bind to their binding sites, the transport protein can react with ATP and the transport protein becomes phosphorylated. The phosphorylated transport protein has an inorganic phosphate ion covalently attached to the protein.

The phosphorylation of the transport protein causes a conformational change in the transport protein such that the ion binding sites are now open to the outside of the cell. The three Na+ ions leave their binding sites and the binding sites change so that they are less likely to bind Na+. At the same time, the K+ ion binding sites become exposed so that K+ ions are free to bind. The binding of two K+ ions causes the hydrolysis of the covalently attached phosphate such that the phosphate is removed from the transport protein. The removal of the phosphate causes another protein conformational change such that the ion binding sites are again open to the inside of the cell. The K+ ions leave their binding sites and enter the cell. The transport protein is now ready for another transport cycle.

The Na/K pump is an active transport system. The energy for the active transport comes from the ATP molecule which is used to phosphorylate the transporter. Thus, to function, this pump requires a continuous source of ATP. Note that for every ATP molecule used, three Na+ ions are pumped out of the cell and 2 K+ ions are pumped into the cell.
